In The Waiting Room
WHEN: NEXT DATE TBD!!!
WHERE: PR Casting
10 W Hubbard St, Chicago, IL 60654
Think of your last big audition. Was your performance so much better in your living room or your car? Did the waiting room chatter distract you? Did your stomach drop the second you walked into the casting house?
Recreate the waiting room at PR Casting with actors and healers, Sheana Tobey and Courtney Rioux. Bring home tools you can use right away for your next audition to be a more confident, calm and present performer!
Sheana Tobey is a licensed professional counselor who has been acting professionally for over a decade. She found her way to counseling through her own healing journey and is dedicated to giving back to those in need. Sheana knows first hand how scary it can be to seek counseling. For this reason, she creates an empathic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and safe environment through which her clients can seek the healing they need.
Sheana works at a private practice called The Awakening Center, located on Lincoln Avenue, just south of Addison. Sheana specializes in working with adults who struggle with eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, transitional life periods, and trauma histories. Through the use of the Internal Family Systems model, yoga informed psychotherapy, mindfulness, and a multicultural lens, Sheana helps her clients find the inner peace they seek.
Courtney Rioux is a certified strategic interventionist with the Robbins Madanes Training Center and a SAG-AFTRA actor currently playing Paramedic Courtney on Chicago Med.
Through her coaching at The Whole Artist, Courtney helps actors shift from stuck and unhappy to empowered and joyful, all while making it feel fun and easy.
Her teachings have been featured by SAG-AFTRA, Actors’ Equity, The Green Room Chicago, Vagabond School of the Arts, The Acting Studio Chicago, The Chicago Acting in Film Meetup Group, Playback magazine, Artistic Strategies, Creative Social Media, and d'aprile properties.
